Kansas Republican Party Announces New Executive Director
CiCi Rojas takes Kansas GOP helm on April 1, 2009

Topeka – CiCi Rojas, a native Kansas Citian, will become Executive Director of the Kansas Republican Party starting April 1. Amanda Adkins, Chair of the Kansas Republican Party, announced today that Rojas will succeed Christian Morgan, who resigned in February 2009.

Rojas currently serves as President/CEO of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GDHCC), the largest Hispanic Chamber in the United States.

“Cici will bring a new dimension of leadership and organization to the Kansas Republican Party,” said Adkins. “Her innovative work as CEO for the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce combined with her vision and leadership will be major assets to the Kansas GOP going into the next election.”

“I am excited to work for Republicans in Kansas,” Rojas said. “What we do over the next year will lead to important gains for our state that will last for decades. I look forward to meeting grassroots and elected leaders in the near future and can’t wait to visit the 105 counties to talk with Republicans across the state.”

Prior to taking the leadership position of the GDHCC in mid-2006, Rojas served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Special Projects, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) in Washington, D.C. Additionally, she was President/CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City for five years. Under her leadership in Kansas City, the organization’s membership increased by 200% and its operation capacity expanded by 400%.

Rojas is active in civic organizations on the local, state and national levels. Recently, Rojas was appointed chair of the National Latino Coalition Foundation. Former Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Hector V. Barreto, appointed Rojas to the National Advisory Board of the Small Business Administration. In Dallas, she is a board member for the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives; United Way of Dallas; Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Dallas Zoo.

She recently graduated from the Institute for Organizational Management (IOM), a four-year course focusing on all facets of running an organization. In 2008 Rojas completed the Harvard Business School Corporate Board Governance Program; and University of Chicago Graduate Business School National Hispanic Leadership Academy. She previously attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
