The Star: Air show pilot killed while practicing aerial acrobatics

A 36-year-old pilot was killed Friday near Tarkio, Mo., as she prepared for a weekend air show.
The plane crashed about 2:30 p.m. while the pilot was practicing aerial acrobatics in a single-person, single-engine aircraft, according to the Tarkio Police Department.
Officials were not releasing the pilot’s name until her family is notified.
No other aircraft or person was involved in the crash at the Gould Peterson Municipal Airport, according to B.J. Scott, a spokesman for the annual Wing Nuts Flying Circus air show.
